end
This command returns the prompt to the Privileged Exec command mode from any other
advanced command mode.
Syntax
end
Mode
All advanced command modes, including Global Configuration and Interface
Configuration modes.
Example
The following example shows the use of the end command to return to the Privileged
Exec mode directly from Interface mode.

disable (Privileged Exec mode)
enable (Privileged Exec mode)
exit
exit
This command exits the current mode, and returns the prompt to the mode at the
previous level. When used in User Exec mode, the exit command terminates the session.
Syntax
exit

The following example shows the use of exit command to exit Interface mode, and
return to Configure mode.
