Ring configuration

A VCStack using x310 Series switches can comprise up to four stack members connected
in a ring topology.

Figure

82-5

shows a ring comprising three stacked

x310 switches.

Because alternate paths are provided between the stack members’ stacking links, this
topology offers a very resilient configuration.

Resilient Stacked Topology

Where network connectivity uptime is a major criteria, you can use virtual chassis stacking
to create highly reliable network configurations. The network shown in

Figure 82-6

employs redundant links and switches to create a stacked network that offers extremely
reliable user connectivity.
