To assign a bandwidth value:
1. Click the appropriate Bandwidth field for the channel you want to change.
2. Enter a valid bandwidth value.
3. Click Apply Changes
Note: If you click Apply Changes and the total minimum bandwidths do not add up
to 100% or one of the maximum bandwidths is not valid, an error message is
displayed indicating the problem and that the changes were not saved.
Viewing the Channel Management Tab for vNIC1
For adapters that support vNIC1, the vNIC properties are displayed in the Channel
Management tab when vNIC is enabled. The Port Channel Management Tab for vNIC
is read-only with the vNIC specific attributes listed in the table as shown in Figure 6-46.
Note: vNIC is only supported on certain virtual fabric adapters. For specific
information as to whether it is supported on a specific adapter, see the release
notes that are available on the Emulex website.
To view vNIC channel management:
1. From the discovery-tree, select the vNIC adapter port whose channel information
you want to view.
2. Select the Channel Management tab.

Channel Mgmt Field Definitions for vNIC1
Channel Management Type – Channel management protocol type in use.
Function # – Function number used to identify a specific channel.
Type – Protocol personality of a specific channel.
MAC address – MAC address assigned to a specific channel.
Name – Name assigned to the vNIC by an administrator during switch
configuration.
Outer VLAN ID – VLAN identifier used between the NIC port and the switch.
The switch maps this value into the VLAN ID used on the network.
Min. BW – Minimum bandwidth at which the port is guaranteed to run.
