The Command Reference
1371
The only choice for the f0 parameter is NIC. Choices for the f1–fm parameters
are None, iSCSI or FCoE (or NIC for multichannel configurations).
This command fails if you specify two storage protocols on a port and the
concurrent storage mode is not available.
This command fails if you specify three storage functions on a port.
This command failsif you specify two of the same storage functions on a port.
The number of functions (f) you can specify depend upon the adapter model
and the configuration type (for example, non-multi–channel, multichannel,
NPar, etc.). If you specify an incorrect number of functions, the command fails.
You can only specify NIC as the f0 parameter if no other f parameters are
specified. Also you cannot specify NIC with multichannel configurations.
The pid=profile_id option is required for NIC only configurations. It you
specify an incorrect number of functions, the command fails.
If the mctype parameter is specified, it must be an available multichannel type
(see CMGetParams command for available types) or set to None to disable
multichannel. If the mctype parameter is not specified, the currently configured
multichannel type (including None) remains unchanged.
If one or more functions are set to None and they are the last functions on a port,
they do not need to be specified (for example, p0=nic,iscsinone can be shortened
to p0=nic,iscsi).
You can only specify NParEPMode with the mctype-NPar parameter or when
the current configured MC type is NPar.
When you disable NPar (for example mctype=none), the NParEP Mode is
automatically disabled. You must reboot to activate a new port configuration.
