Description

This command sets the Logical Port VLAN IDs (LPVID) for each channel on a physical

port. LPVID values are in the range of 2-4094. When only three channels are available,

specifying LPVID3 causes an error. When only two channels are available, specifying

LPVID2 and LPVID3 causes an error.

Parameters

Notes:

LPVID values are in the range of 2-4094.

This is the only command available to set LPVID values.

Every NIC channel on a physical port must have a unique LPVID.

This command is not available FCoE and iSCSI channels because they are

storage channels. LPVIDs for FCoE and iSCSI channels must be set to ‘0’.

This command is not available for 1 Gb ports.

If UMC is disabled when this command is executed, a warning message is

displayed stating that UMC is disabled and must be enabled for any changes to

take effect.

A system reboot is not required for the change take effect.

LPVID properties are only associated with UMC. The umcsetlpvid command

fails if the current channel management mode is not UMC.

SR-IOV is not supported with UMC channel management.
