5. Do one of the following:
Enter a new WWPN or WWNN.
Click Get Factory Default WWNs to load the settings that were assigned when
the adapter was manufactured. These values can then be modified and saved as
volatile or non-volatile WWNs.
Click Get Non-Volatile WWNs to load the current non-volatile WWN. These
values can be modified and saved to volatile or non-volatile memory. You can
edit the data returned from the button.
6. Check Write changes to volatile memory for temporary use to save the New
WWPN and New WWNN settings as volatile WWNs. If cleared, the New WWPN
and New WWNN settings are saved as non-volatile WWNs.
Note: If the adapter or firmware does not support volatile WWNs, the “Write
changes to volatile memory for temporary use” checkbox is disabled. This
type of change is supported locally and via TCP/IP connections. This
checkbox is disabled for remote in-band adapters regardless of adapter
models and firmware version.
7. Click OK. The following warning appears.
