Using the CLI Client
Syntax Rules
The syntax rules for CLI commands are as follows:
All commands must start with elxvcpcmd.exe.
The requested operation must contain at least three characters, or as many as
needed to distinguish it from any other operation.
Whenever a WWPN is specified, individual fields are separated by colons (:)
When a MAC address is specified, the fields are separated by a dash (-).
The parameters must be specified in the order indicated in the syntax.
Parameters that are not required and may be omitted are in square brackets [ ].
The Command Reference
CLI Client commands are supported for Windows only.
help (single command)
Syntax
elxvcpcmd.exe [CmdName] help
Description
This command shows the help for the specific command.
Parameters
help (group)
Syntax
elxvcpcmd.exe help
Description
This command shows the help for a group. These help groups are categorized based on
the functionality of the commands. Supported groups are: Cluster, Attributes,
AdapterLicense, Personality, Firmware, DriverParameters, WWNManagement, and
TargetAndLuns.
You can specify the group name in the help command to find the commands supported
for a group.
