7.2. RMC70
7.2.1. RMC70 Modules Overview
The RMC70 Series motion controller offers a valuable combination of performance and ease-
of-use for one- and two-axis systems. Smooth, precise motion boosts throughput, improves
quality, and extends machine life. A number of feedback options are available, allowing one
controller family to be used in a wide variety of hydraulic, electric, and pneumatic position and
position–pressure/force applications.
This topic describes the hardware. For a list of control features, see the Controller Features
topic.
An RMC70 motion controller consists of the CPU module, Axis module, and optional Expansion
modules. The CPU module and Axis module make up the base module. The base module is
always shipped as one unit.
