Table 122. Multicast IPv4 Mroute table information

Description

Field

The destination group IPv4 address.

Group IP

The IPv4 address of the multicast packet source to be combined with the group
IPv4 to fully identify a single route.

Source IP

The incoming interface on which multicast packets for this source/group arrive.

Incoming Interface

The list of outgoing interfaces on which multicast packets for this source/group
are forwarded.

Outgoing Interfaces

The time in seconds since the entry was created.

Up Time (hh:mm:ss)

The time in seconds before this entry ages out and is removed from the table.

Expiry Time (hh:mm:ss)

The IPv4 address of the reverse path forwarding (RPF) neighbor.

RPF Neighbor

The multicast routing protocol which dynamically created this entry. The possible
values are as follows:

• PIM-DM

• PIM-SM

Protocol

The value displayed in this field is valid if the multicast routing protocol is PIM-SM.
The possible values are RPT and SPT. For other protocols a “------” is displayed.

Flags

Add static multicast entries to the IPv4
Mroute table

You can add a static multicast entry to the IPv4 Mroute table.

To add a static multicast entry to the IPv4 Mroute table:

1. Launch a web browser.

2. In the address field of your web browser, enter the IP address of the switch.

If you do not know the IP address of the switch, see Log in to the main UI with a web
browser
on page 27 and the subsections.

The login page displays.

3. Click the Main UI Login button.

The main UI login page displays in a new tab.

4. Enter admin as the user name, enter your local device password, and click the Login

button.

The first time that you log in, no password is required. However, you then must
specify a local device password to use each subsequent time that you log in.
