If you do not know the IP address of the switch, see Log in to the main UI with a web
browser on page 27 and the subsections.
The login page displays.
3. Click the Main UI Login button.
The main UI login page displays in a new tab.
4. Enter admin as the user name, enter your local device password, and click the Login
button.
The first time that you log in, no password is required. However, you then must
specify a local device password to use each subsequent time that you log in.
The System Information page displays.
5. Select Routing > OSPFv3 > Advanced > Stub Area Configuration.
The OSPFv3 Stub Area Configuration page displays.
6. In the Area ID field, enter an OSPFv3 area ID.
An area ID is a 32-bit integer in dotted-decimal format that identifies the area to
which a switch interface connects.
7. From the Import Summary LSAs menu, select if summary LSAs are imported:
•
Enable: Summary LSAs are imported into stub areas.
•
Disable: Summary LSAs are not imported into stub areas.
8. In the Default Cost field, enter the metric value that must be applied for the default
route advertised to the stub area.
The range is from 1 to 16,777,215.
9. Click the Add button.
The area is added as a stub area.
10. To save the settings to the running configuration, click the Save icon.
The following table describes the view-only fields on the page.

Field
The number of times that the intra-area route table was calculated using this area’s
link state database. (This is typically calculated using Dijkstra’s algorithm.)
SPF Runs
The total number of area border routers that are reachable within this area. This is
initially zero, and is calculated in each SPF pass.
Area Border Router
Count
The total number of link state advertisements in this area’s link state database, excluding
AS external LSAs.
