Description
Field
Indicates if the routing interface functions as an autonomous system boundary router
(ASBR).
An ASBR can be configured to redistribute routes from another protocol or to originate
external LSAs that advertise the default route.
ASBR Mode
Indicates if the routing interface functions as an area border router (ABR).
An ABR has active non-virtual interfaces in two or more OSPFv3 areas.
ABR Status
The number of external (LS type 5) link state advertisements (LSAs) in the link state
database.
External LSA Count
The sum of the LS checksums of the external LSAs that are contained in the link state
database. You can use this sum to determine if there was a change in the link state
database of a switch or router, and to compare the link state databases of two devices.
This value is in hexadecimal.
External LSA
Checksum
The number of LSAs originated by the switch.
In any OSPFv3 area, a router (or in this situation, a switch) originates several LSAs. Each
router originates a router-LSA. If the router is also the designated router for any of the
area’s networks, it originates network LSAs for those networks.
New LSAs Originated
The number of received LSAs for new instantiations. This number does not include
new instantiations of self-originated LSAs.
LSAs Received
