Configure the IPv6 route preference for the
switch
You can configure the default preference for the switch, which is a value in the range
from 1 to 255 and is independent of route metrics. Most routing protocols use a route
metric to determine the shortest path known to the protocol, independent of any other
protocol. The best route to a destination is automatically selected by determining the
route with the lowest preference value. If multiple routes to a destination exist, the
preference value is used to determine the preferred route. If a tie occurs, the route with
the best route metric is selected.
