Interface naming conventions
The switch supports physical and logical interfaces. Interfaces are identified by their
type and the interface number. The physical ports are multispeed Ethernet interfaces
or fiber ports, and are numbered on the front panel. You configure the logical interfaces.
The following table describes the naming convention for all interfaces available on the
switch.

Depending on the model, the physical
ports are multispeed 10G Ethernet ports,
multispeed 2.5G Ethernet ports, Gigabit
Ethernet ports, 25G fiber ports, 10G fiber
ports, or a combination of such ports.
The interface number consists of the switch
unit number (from 1 to 8) followed by a
forward slash, the slot number (which is
always 0) followed by a forward slash, and
the port number, which is a sequential
number starting from 1.
Physical interfaces for all

LAG 1, LAG 2, LAG 3, and so on LAG interfaces are logical interfaces that
are used only for bridging functions. Link aggregation group (LAG)
