This list is used to authenticate users who try to get privileged EXEC access. The
default list is enableList. For more information about enable authentication lists, see
Configure an enable authentication list on page 517.

11. In the SSH Port field, specify the port for SSH access.

The range is from range from 1 to 65535. The default port number is 22.

12. Click the Apply button.

Your settings are saved.

13. To save the settings to the running configuration, click the Save icon.

Field

The switch can accept connections from an SSH client using protocol level 2 for
SSH (SSH-2). Protocol level 2 for SSH is enabled by default.

SSH Version

The number of active SSH sessions between remote SSH clients and the switch.

Displays if one or both (if any) of the following keys are present on the device:
• SSH-2 Rivest-Shamir-Adelman (RSA) key file (PEM encoded)

• SSH-2 Digital Signature Algorithm (DSA) key file (PEM encoded)

If no keys are presents, No is displayed.

You can manage Rivest-Shamir-Adelman (RSA) and Digital Signature Algorithm (DSA)
keys for SSH access to the switch.

Generate an RSA or DSA key

Note: To generate an SSH key file, SSH must be disabled (see Configure the global
SSH access settings
on page 534).

To generate an RSA or DSA key:

1. Launch a web browser.

2. In the address field of your web browser, enter the IP address of the switch.

The login page displays.

3. Click the Main UI Login button.
