5. Select System > SNMP > SNMP V1/V2 > Trap Flags.

The Trap Flags page displays.

6. Select the Authentication Disable or Enable radio button.

This setting enables or disables activation of authentication failure traps. The default
is Enable.

When enabled, SNMP traps are sent when events involving authentication occur,
such as when a user attempts to access the switch main UI and does not provide a
valid user name and password.

7. Select the Link Up/Down Disable or Enable radio button

This setting enables or disables activation of link status traps. The default is Enable.

When enabled, SNMP traps are sent when the administrative or operational state of
a physical or logical link changes

8. Select the Multiple Users Disable or Enable radio button

This setting enables or disables activation of multiple user traps. The default is Enable.
This trap is triggered when the same user ID is logged into the switch more than
once at the same time (either through Telnet or the serial port).

9. Select the Spanning Tree Disable or Enable radio button.

This setting enables or disables activation of spanning tree traps. The default is
Enable.

10. Select the ACL Disable or Enable radio button.

This setting enables or disables activation of ACL traps. The default is Disable.

11. Select the Captive Portal Disable or Enable radio button.

This setting enables or disables activation of captive portal traps. The default is
Disable.

12. Select the PIM Disable or Enable radio button.

This setting enables or disables activation of PIM traps. The default is Disable.

13. Select the PoE Disable or Enable radio button.

This setting enables or disables activation of PoE traps. The default is Enable.

14. Click the Apply button.

Your settings are saved.

15. To save the settings to the running configuration, click the Save icon.
