To add or change prefix settings for an IPv6 routing interface:
1. Launch a web browser.
2. In the address field of your web browser, enter the IP address of the switch.
The login page displays.
3. Click the Main UI Login button.
The main UI login page displays in a new tab.
4. Enter admin as the user name, enter your local device password, and click the Login
button.
The first time that you log in, no password is required. However, you then must
specify a local device password to use each subsequent time that you log in.
The System Information page displays.
5. Select Routing > IPv6 > Advanced > Prefix Configuration.
The Prefix Configuration page displays.
6. From the Interface menu, select the interface.
7. If you are changing en existing prefix for the interface, select the check box for the
prefix.
8. If you are adding a new prefix, in the IPv6 Prefix field, specify the IPv6 prefix for the
interface.
9. If you are adding a new prefix, in the Prefix Length field, specify the IPv6 prefix
length for the interface.
10. From the EUI64 menu, select Enable or Disable to enable or disable the 64-bit
unicast prefix.
11. In the Valid Life Time field, specify the valid period for prefix router advertisements
for the interface.
This is the period during which the prefix is valid for the purpose of on-link
determination. The range is from 0 to 4294967295.
12. In the Preferred Life Time field, specify preferred period for prefix router
advertisements for the interface.
This is the period during which the prefix is preferred for the purpose of on-link
determination. An autoconfigured address generated from the prefix is a preferred
address. The range from 0 to 4294967295.
13. From the Onlink Flag menu, select Enable or Disable to enable or disable the prefix
from being used for autonomous address configuration.
If enabled, the prefix can be used for on-link determination.
