6. If you are changing en existing tunnel, select the check box for the route.
7. From the Tunnel ID menu, select a tunnel ID.
8. From the Mode menu, select one of the following modes:
• 6-in-4-configured: This mode encapsulates IPv6 packets on an IPv4 interface.
• 6-to-4: This mode encapsulates IPv6 packets and derives the endpoint IPv4
address from the IPv6 addresses in the IPv6 packet.
9. From the IPv6 Mode menu, select Enable or Disable to enable or disable the IPv6
routing mode for the interface.
When the IPv6 routing mode is enabled, the interface is capable of IPv6 operation
without a global address. In this case, an EUI-64 based link-local address is used.
The default is Disable.
10. From the IPv6 Unreachables menu, select Enable or Disable to enable or disable
the transmission of ICMPv6 Destination Unreachable messages.
If you select Enable, ICMPv6 destination unreachable messages can be sent.
11. In the IPv6 Address/Prefix Length field, specify an IPv6 address and prefix length.
Specify the address in the format prefix/length.
12. From the EUI64 menu, select Enable or Disable to enable or disable the 64-bit
unicast prefix.
For 6to4 tunnels, configure the IPv6 address with first 48-bits in the format
2002:tunnel-source-IPv4-address::/48.
13. In the Source Address field, specify the IPv4 source address for the tunnel.
Enter the address in dotted-decimal notation.
14. From the Source Interface menu, select the interface for the tunnel.
The IPv6 address that is associated with the selected interface is used as the source
address.
15. In the Destination Address field, enter the IPv4 destination address for the tunnel.
Enter the address in dotted-decimal notation.
16. Do one of the following:
• If you are adding a new tunnel, click the Add button.
Your settings are saved. The route is added.
• If you are changing an existing tunnel, click the Apply button.
Your settings are saved.
The Interface Link Status field indicates whether the tunnel interface is up or down.
