9 In the Parameter row, click the Add pop-up menu, choose Face, then choose Opacity.
Set the Opacity to the lowest value you want to use in your animation. In this example,
Opacity is set to 0% so that the text characters begin completely transparent and fade
in to become opaque.
To create a softer transition between each character, you can adjust the Spread parameter.
To adjust the Spread parameter

In the Behaviors tab, drag the Spread slider (or type a number in the value slider).
This example uses a Spread value of 4.
Sequence Text Controls
Use the Sequence controls to repeat the animation over the duration of the text, to
randomize the order in which the effect is applied to the text characters, to change the
direction of the animation, to “soften” the effect between characters, and so on.
Parameter: Use the Add and Remove pop-up menus to add and remove text format and
style parameters to the sequence.
Traversal: Use this pop-up menu to set the action of the sequence behavior. There are
six options:
• Ramp: Moves the selection from one end of the text to the other at a constant speed.
The sequence moves in the direction specified in the Direction pop-up menu.
