Sets the number of consecutive misses of hello messages before LLDP declares the neighbor as
dead.

Synopsis

multiplier value

no multiplier

Operands

value

Specifies a multiplier value to use. Valid values range from 2 through 10.

Defaults

Multiplier default value is 4.

Command Modes

Protocol LLDP configuration mode

Description

Use this command to set the number of consecutive misses of hello messages before LLDP
declares the neighbor as dead.

Usage Guidelines

Enter no multiplier to return to the default setting.

Examples

To set the number of consecutive misses:

switch(conf-lldp)# multiplier 2
