Description
Use this command to set an OPSF interface to the passive state. Passive interfaces accept and
process all OSPF protocol traffic, but they do not send any traffic.
You might want to set an interface to passive mode if:
•
You are planning to use the router mostly for debugging purposes.
•
The router is a stub and does not route traffic.
Usage Guidelines
Enter no ip ospf passive to set an interface back to active.
