Description
Use this command to set the maximum response time for IGMP queries for a specific interface.
When a host receives the query packet, it starts counting to a random value, less than the
maximum response time. When this timer expires, the switch (host) replies with a report, provided
that no other host from the same group has responded yet.
Usage Guidelines
Enter no ip igmp query-max-response-time to restore the default maximum response time for
IGMP queries.
Examples
To set the maximum response time to 20 seconds on a specific VLAN interface:
switch(config)# interface vlan 100
switch(conf-vlan-100)# ip igmp query-max-response-time 20
To remove the maximum response time from a specific VLAN interface:
switch(config)# interface vlan 100
switch(conf-vlan-100)# no ip igmp query-max-response-time
