Specifies the autonomous system number (ASN) where the device resides.
Synopsis local-as num
no local-as
Operands num The local ASN. The range is from 1 through 4294967295.
Defaults None
Command Modes BGP configuration mode
Description Use this command to enable specify an ASN for a given device to associate it with other devices in
its autonomous system.
Usage Guidelines ASNs in the range from 64512 through 65535 are private numbers that are not advertised to the
external community.
Use the no form of this command to remove the ASN from the device.
Examples
switch(config)# rbridge-id 10
switch(config-rbridge-id-10)# router bgp
switch(config-bgp-router)# local-as 777
