Enforces the use of the first autonomous system (AS) path for external BGP (EBGP) routes.
Synopsis enforce-first-as
no enforce-first-as
Operands None
Defaults This option is disabled.
Command Modes BGP configuration mode
Description Use this command to enforce the first AS path, causing the router to discard updates received
from EGBP peers that do not list their AS number as the first AS path segment in the AS_PATH
attribute of the incoming route.
Usage Guidelines Use the no form of this command to restore the default.
Examples To configure the device to enforce the use of the first AS path:
switch(config)# rbridge-id 10
switch(config-rbridge-id-10)# router bgp
switch(config-bgp-router)# enforce-first-as
