Displays the status and parameters of the Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol (MSTP) instance
information in brief.

Synopsis

show spanning-tree mst brief

Command Modes

Privileged EXEC mode

Description

Use this command to display the status and parameters of the MSTP instance information. It
includes the port roles, port states and port types.

Usage Guidelines

The following describes the port roles, states, and types:

Port roles—root port, designated port, alternate port, and backup port.

Port states—discarding, learning, and forwarding.

Port types—edge port (PortFast), point-to-point, and shared port.

Examples

To display the status and parameters of the MSTP instance information:
