• In the Timeline or Canvas, move the playhead to the marker and do one of the following:

• Choose Mark > Markers > Edit.

• Press M.

• Click the Add Marker button.

In the Edit Marker dialog, enter a new start time in the Start field, then click OK.

Using the Ripple Sequence Markers Setting

By default, sequence markers (markers in the Timeline ruler and the Canvas scrubber bar)
ripple after any ripple edit or insert edit. After an insert edit, any sequence markers after
the insertion point ripple downstream. After a ripple delete, any sequence markers after
the last deleted frame ripple upstream.

Follow the instructions below to manually turn on or off the Ripple Sequence Markers
setting.

To turn on or off the Ripple Sequence Markers setting
Do one of the following:

Choose Sequence > Ripple Sequence Markers.

Select or deselect the Ripple Sequence Markers button in the Timeline button bar.

Editing Multiple Markers on the Same Frame

It is possible that two or more markers might accidentally appear on the same frame. If
this happens and you need to edit an individual marker, you can use the Choose Marker
pop-up menu to open the Edit Marker dialog for the specific marker.

To edit a specific marker if multiple markers appear on the same frame

Open the Edit Marker dialog for one of the markers.

For more information on opening the Edit Marker dialog, see

“Modifying Markers.”

If the marker is on the same frame as other markers, a Choose Marker pop-up menu
appears above the Name field.

Choose the marker you want to edit from the pop-up menu.

The Edit Marker dialog for the appropriate marker appears.

Enter the changes in the Edit Marker dialog, then click OK.
