For many editors, logging is the first phase of editing, when they identify which shots to
capture from tape. The logging information you enter at this stage serves as a guide
throughout the project.
Overview of Logging Steps
Before you begin to log, make sure that your camcorder or deck is connected to your
computer and that you’ve chosen the correct Easy Setup and specified a scratch disk. For
