The resulting media file contains only the first ten seconds of the original media file, which
is sufficient for re-creating Sequence A, but not for re-creating the original master clip or
the clip in Sequence B.

Preserving Media for the Selected Item and Its Master Clip
You can create a copy of sequence A along with enough media for the clip in Sequence
A and enough media to preserve the media In and Out points marked in the master clip.
To preserve media for the selected item and its master clip

Select Sequence A in the Browser, then choose File > Media Manager.

Choose Copy from the Media pop-up menu.

Select “Duplicate selected items and place into new project.”

Select “Delete unused media from selected items.”

Select “Include master clips outside the selection.” This option preserves the media referred
to by the master clip’s In and Out points, so the master clip is preserved as well as the
clip in Sequence A.
