To create a custom Easy Setup

Choose Final Cut Pro > Audio/Video Settings.

In the Summary tab, choose the presets you want.

If you want to create a custom
preset, see

Choose video and audio playback settings.
For more information, see

Click Create Easy Setup.

If you want Final Cut Pro to check for device control every time you open the application,
select the checkbox labeled “Enable verification of device control in first start dialog.”

Enter a name and description for your new Easy Setup, then click Create.

Enter a filename and location if you don’t want to use the defaults.

Click Save.
Your new Easy Setup is automatically selected and appears in the Use pop-up menu.
Moving, Deleting, and Restoring an Easy Setup
Easy Setups that come with Final Cut Pro are located within the application itself, as well
as at /Library/Application Support/Final Cut Pro System Support/Custom Settings/.
Easy Setups stored within the application itself are locked, so you cannot modify or delete
them.
Important:
If you decide to make an Easy Setup unavailable, make sure you aren’t using
it in any current projects and won’t need it for future projects. Once you remove or delete
an Easy Setup, sequences that use it will not play properly.
To move an Easy Setup to another Final Cut Pro editing system

Copy the Easy Setup file from its stored location on your hard disk to another disk or
storage medium.
To delete a custom Easy Setup

Quit Final Cut Pro.

Drag the Final Cut Pro preferences file to the Trash.
This file is in the location /Users/username/Library/Preferences/Final Cut Pro User Data/.
