Make sure the bin is the active window, then press Control-W.

Click the close button of the bin window.
For easy access to a bin, you can create a tab for it in the Browser.
To open a bin as a new tab in the Browser

Hold down the Option key while double-clicking a bin in the Browser.
If multiple Browser windows are open, the tab is created in the Browser window that
contains the bin.
To turn a bin in its own window into a tab in the Browser
1 Double-click a bin to open it in its own window.
2 Drag the bin’s tab from the bin window to the top of any column heading in the Browser.
Drag the bin’s tab above
any column heading in
the Browser.
The bin now has its own
tab in the Browser.
