Shearing Objects
The shear handles can be used to slant an object, either horizontally or vertically. This is
an isometric operation, so it doesn’t necessarily provide a realistic perspective effect.
When you shear an object, this change is stored in that object’s Shear parameter, which
can be seen in the Properties tab of the Inspector.
To shear an object in the Canvas:
1 Click and hold the Select/Transform tool, then choose the Adjust Shear tool from the
pop-up menu.
2 In the Canvas, drag one of the four shear handles to slant the object. The top and
bottom controls angle the object horizontally, while the left and right controls angle
the object vertically.
