Note: The Photoshop export preset supports only a single-layer image, not multiple
layers.
Exporting with Alpha Channels
To export your project with an alpha channel, use a preset that supports alpha
channels, such as Lossless+Alpha Movie. The default QuickTime Movie preset—”Movie-
current project and Canvas setting”—uses the Animation codec, which supports alpha
channels. Also, to export your project with a transparent background, make sure that
Background is set to Transparent in the Project Properties dialog (press Command-J).
You can view extended descriptions of the export presets in Motion Preferences.
To view export preset settings in Motion Preferences:
1 Choose Motion > Preferences, then click Presets.
2 In the Presets pane, choose Export Presets from the Show pop-up menu.
