Option 2: Assignment of function/key in higher-level control
For this purpose, all information of the remote control is transmitted to the higher-level control via
the output port block. Via the input port block, the application finally receives the relevant control
information from the higher-level control:
[18-75] Principle: Transfer of the key assignment to the higher-level control
• Advantage: The higher-level control can accept or deny certain control functions of the remote
control individually (process-dependent).
• Disadvantage: If the higher-level control fails or the PLC program is stopped, no remote control
is possible.
