18.2.12.1 Assign control functions to the remote control
The control functions are assigned to the keys of the remote control via interconnection in the FB
Editor. The following example shows two principal options.
Option 1: Assignment of function/key in the controller
For this purpose, the SB LS_IRInterface is directly connected to the control inputs of the application
block:

• Advantage: Independent of the higher-level control, some functions can be exclusively
executed via remote control (e.g. emergency operation in case the higher-level control fails).
• Disadvantage: It is not possible to influence the control signals of the higher-level control by
means of the remote control.
