From the navigation tree, select WLAN Manager > Locating Management.
The Locating Management page appears.

In the MU Locating area, click the Monitoring Clients link.
The Monitoring Clients page appears, displaying all clients being monitored.

Select the clients you want or do not want to set as sampling clients.
5.
Click Set as Sample MAC to set the selected clients as sampling clients.
Click Undo Set as Sample MAC to clear the selected clients.
Managing sampling points
Before MU locating, you must specify the sampling clients from the monitored clients and perform the
sampling. WSM uses the sampling statistics to calculate the location of clients and displays client
locations in location view.
MU locating supports common sampling, fast sampling, and moving sampling.
Common sampling
1.
Add a sampling point:
a.
Click the Service tab.
b.
From the navigation tree, select WLAN Manager > View Management > Location Views.
The Location List page appears.
c.
Click the View Topology icon for the location view.
The location view topology page appears, displaying all sub-location views, fit APs, and fat
APs.
d.
Right-click on a blank area, and, from the shortcut menu, select Sampling Points Mgt.
You are in sampling mode.
e.
Right-click on a blank area, and, from the shortcut menu, select Add Sampling Point. A gray
dot that represents a sampling point appears in the upper left corner of the page.
f.
Drag the gray dot to the correct location in the topology according to the actual client
location.
g.
Right-click on the gray dot, and, from the shortcut menu, select Lock to lock its location.
h.
Repeat steps e, f, and g to add more sampling points.

Save a sampling point:
a.
Click the Service tab.
b.
From the navigation tree, select WLAN Manager > View Management > Location Views.
The Location List page appears.
c.
Click the View Topology icon for the location view.
The location view topology page appears, displaying all sub-location views, fit APs, and fat
APs.
d.
Right-click on a blank area, and, from the shortcut menu, select Sampling Points Mgt.
You are in client sampling mode.
e.
Right-click on a blank area, and, from the shortcut menu, select Save Sampling Points.
