Account Name—Account name used by the client to access the wireless network.

Location—Name of the location view in which the client is located.

Location Update Time—Last time when the client reports the signal strength data to WSM.

Sample—Set whether the client is a sampling client. Options are Yes and No.

to locate the client in the location view. For more

If the Monitoring Clients list contains enough entries, the following navigational aids are displayed.
Navigating the Monitoring Clients list

Click the Next Page icon
to page forward in the Monitoring Clients list.
•
Click the Last Page icon
to page forward to the end of the Monitoring Clients list.
•
Click the Previous Page icon
to page backward in the Monitoring Clients list.
•
Click the First Page icon
to page backward to the front of the Monitoring Clients list.
Click 8, 15, 50, 100, or 200 at the upper right of the Monitoring Clients list to specify the number of
items you want to display on each page.
NOTE:
You can sort the Monitoring Clients list by every field except the Locate field. Click the column label to
sort the list by the selected field. The column label allows you to toggle between the various sort options
specific to each field.
Querying the monitoring clients
1.
Click the Service tab

From the navigation tree, select WLAN Manager > Locating Management.
The Locating Management page appears.

In the MU Locating area, click the Monitoring Clients link.
The Monitoring Clients page appears, displaying all clients being monitored.

To query monitoring clients, enter or select one or more of the following query criteria:

MAC Address—Enter the MAC address of the client. WSM supports fuzzy matching for this
field.

Username—Enter the name of the client. The username configured in IMC can be different
from the account name. WSM supports fuzzy matching for this field.

Account Name—Enter the account name of the client. WSM supports fuzzy matching for
this field.
{
Location—Enter the name of the location view. WSM supports fuzzy matching for this field.
An empty field does not serve as a query criterion.
5.
Click Query. The Monitoring Clients list displays all monitoring clients matching the query
criteria.
Click Reset to clear the query criteria, and display all monitoring clients in the Monitoring
Clients list.
Setting clients as sampling clients
1.
Click the Service tab.
