Module License Description
Wireless Service
Manager
Basic WSM license (50
fit APs )
When the trial period expires, activate this license to use
WSM. By default, the license allows you to manage 50
fit APs in WSM. To manage more fit APs, purchase fit AP
node licenses.
The number of fat APs and ACs that can be managed by
WSM is controlled by the IMC PLAT component device
node license.
Fit AP node license
This license allows you to increase the number of fit APs
that can be managed. For example, for a network with
180 fit APs, you can purchase a license of 50 fit APs and
a license of 100 fit APs, besides the basic WSM license.
The name of a license of 50 fit APs is HP A-IMC Wireless
Service Manager 50-Access Point License for HP IMC.
If the number of fit APs exceeds the license limit, IMC
restricts your login. You have 3 chances to log in to IMC
and remain online for 30 minutes each time. You must
log in to IMC to delete fit APs to make sure the number of
fit APs is within the license limit.
Locating
Management
Location Service Package
license
To use the locating management module, you must
purchase this license.
The license name is HP A-IMC Wireless Service Manager
Component's Location Service Package License for HP
IMC.
This license does not allow you to locate iNode clients in
real time.
Real Time Location
System (RTLS) node
license
Before registering this license, register the Location
Service Package License first.
This license allows you to control the number of iNode
clients that can be located in real time. For example, if
you need to locate 20 iNode clients in real time, you can
purchase a license of 25 clients.
The name of a license of 25 clients is HP A-IMC Real
Time Location System / Wireless Service Management
additional 25-node License for HP IMC.
During the trial period
The trial periods for HP IMC and H3C IMC are 60 days and 45 days, respectively. In the trial period,
every module of WSM is available, but the number of nodes is limited.
