Viewing the position details
This function allows you to view the details of a position, including the address, the telephone number,
the total number of APs, and the number of online mobile clients. At the same time, you can view the
topology of the location view.
You can view the device information of the location view associated with the position by clicking the
link showing the total number of APs.
To view the position details:
1.
Click the Service tab.
2.
From the navigation tree, select WLAN Manager > View Management > GIS View.
The Position List displays all positions.
3.
On the map, click the picture of a position.
The tip message box showing the position details appears. Position details include the address,
telephone, and associated location view of the position, and total number of APs and online
clients on the position.
You can view the device information of the location view associated with the position by
clicking the link showing the total number of APs.
You can click the icon View Topology to view the location view topology.
Adding a position
You can add a location view to the Mapbar map as a position, and specify the longitude and
latitude for the position on the map. A location view can be associated with only one position, and
any parent or child location of the location view cannot be associated with any other position.
To add a position:
1.
Click the Service tab.
2.
From the navigation tree, select WLAN Manager > View Management > GIS View.
The Position List displays all positions.
3.
Click Add Position.
The page for adding a position appears.
4.
Select a location view for the position from the Position drop-down list.
5.
Click Select Picture to select a label to represent the position on the map.
6.
Continue the procedure in one of the following ways:

Click Label to configure the geographic location of the position on the map.
The Longitude/Latitude field displays the longitude and latitude of the position automatically.

Enter the latitude and longitude of the position in the Longitude/Latitude field.
7.
Enter the telephone number of the position in the Telephone field.
8.
Enter the address of the position in the Address field.
9.
Click OK.
