Basic method for DPASV

This illustrative method can be used to investigate a sample for sub-

stances which can be determined with DPASV (Differential Pulse

Anodic Stripping Voltammetry) at the hanging mercury drop electrode

(HMDE). The basic structure for DPASV contained in the method can

then be modified and expanded in any way whatever for the specific

determination of one or more substances.
So that you can perform this example, first the 746 VA Trace Analyzer

and 747 VA Stand must have been prepared as described in section

4.1.

The following solutions are needed to perform the method

To load the method

from the method memory into the working storage,

the following steps are necessary:

Switch on instrument

Switch on the 746 VA Trace Analyzer with mains switch 11

11 at the rear of

the instrument. The instrument is initialized. If all is in order, the dialog

page "MONITORING" appears after a few seconds.

Switch to dialog page "METHODS"

Press the yellow key. The "METHODS" dialog page ap-

pears showing the methods stored in the instrument.

Selection of the method

Use the cursor keys to select the method

, which then be-

comes black-backed.

Copying the method

ASV.mth to the working storage

Press the softkey

. The softkey bar changes and presents the

destinations for copying the selected method.

Press the softkey
