Viewing neighbor connections
Use the show ip bgp l2vpn vpls neighbors command to view the details of TCP and BGP neighbor
connections.

Total Number of BGP Neighbors
The number of BGP neighbors configured.
IP Address
The IP address of the neighbor.
AS
The AS number to which the neighbor belongs.
EBGP or IBGP
Whether the neighbor session is an IBGP session, an EBGP session, or a
confederation EBGP session:
•
EBGP – The neighbor is in another AS.
•
EBGP_Confed – The neighbor is a member of another sub-AS in the
same confederation.
•
IBGP – The neighbor is in the same AS.
RouterID
The neighbor’s router ID.
