Static transit LSP

Functional Considerations

The following configuration behaviors must be considered before the configuration.

Changes in label range configuration

1. Configuration of in-label values outside of the label range will not be allowed.

2. If the label range is increased and reloaded, you will get a wider label range to use. Refer to

“Label range splitting (optional)”

.

Enable with no in-label or next-hop
If you attempt to enable a static LSP which does not have either the inbound-label or next-hop
configured, the enable will not be allowed. Inbound-label and next-hop are mandatory
configurations.

Configuration commands

Label-range static min
The label-range static min min-value max max-value command is used to configure the minimum
and maximum values for user-configurable static labels.

Brocade(config-mpls)# label-range static min 16 max 2047

Syntax: [no] label-range static min min-value max max-value

This command has the following parameters:

Min-value - The lower end of the range for the static labels.

Max-value - The higher end of the range for the static labels.

The range is 16 - 499999 for both. The default is 16 for the min-value and 2047 for max-value.

The [no] form of the command will restore it to the default of 16 for min-value and 2047 for
max-value.

Static-lsp transit

Use the static-lsp transit command to create a new static LSP at the transit or enter into the mode
of an existing one to modify its parameters, enable, or disable. The name will be unique within that
router for static transit LSPs.

Brocade(config-mpls)# static-lsp transit 101

Syntax: [no] static-lsp transit static transit-lsp-name

This command has the following parameters:

Static transit-LSP-name: If an existing static transit LSP name is used, it will enter into the
configuration mode for that static transit LSP.
