VRRP and VRRP-E support on the VE over VPLS provides L3 redundancy for downstream devices.
The VRRP control protocol communication across the VPLS link allows VRRP master and backup to
exist in different data centers, providing L3 redundancy across data centers.

Support for multiple VRRP backups for a single master allows L3 redundancy across multiple data
centers. Short-path forwarding support on the backup VRRP makes virtual motion across data
centers more efficient by allowing the backup VRRP to forward traffic back to client directly.
