Item Remarks
Scheduler
A scheduling algorithm that a logical link group uses to distribute traffic.
•
Round Robin: Assigns new connections to each logical link in turn.
•
Weighted Round Robin: Assigns new connections to each logical link based
on the weights of logical links; a higher weight indicates more new
connections will be assigned.
•
Least Connections: New connections are always assigned to the logical link
with the fewest number of active connections.
•
Weighted Least Connections: New connections are always assigned to the
logical link with the fewest number of weighted active connections (the
number of active connections/weight).
•
Random: Assigns new connections to logical links randomly.
•
Weighted random: Assigns new connections randomly to logical links
based on their weights; a higher weight indicates more new connections will
be assigned.
•
Source Address Hashing: Assigns a new connection to a specific logical link
based on the source address of the connection. This algorithm ensures that
new connections with the same source address can be assigned to the same
logical link.
•
Source Address Port Hashing: Assigns a new connection to a specific logical
link based on the source address and source port of the connection. This
algorithm ensures that new connections with the same source address and
port can be assigned to the same logical link.
•
Destination Address Hashing: Assigns a new connection to a specific
logical link based on the destination address of the connection. This
algorithm ensures that new connections with the same destination address
can be assigned to the same logical link.
•
Bandwidth: This algorithm ensures that data streams can be distributed to
physical links with more available bandwidth based on the current
bandwidth usage of the physical links.
Health Monitoring Type
A health monitoring method that a logical link group uses to monitor a logical
link.
•
ICMP: Monitors the reachability of a logical link by sending ICMP
messages.
•
TCP Half Open: Monitors the availability of a logical link by establishing a
TCP half open connection.
Logical Link Troubleshooting
A method that a logical link group uses to handle existing connections when it
detects that a logical link fails, including the following:
•
Keep connection: Does not actively terminate the connection with the failed
logical link. Keeping or terminating the connection depends on the timeout
mechanism of the protocol.
•
Disconnection: Actively terminates the connection with the failed logical link.
•
Redirection: Redirects the connection to another available logical link in the
logical link group.

Time
When you add a link to a cluster, because the link cannot take on a large
amount of services upon going online, you can enable the slow-online function.
With slow-online enabled, when the link goes online, the LB device does not
assign services to it in the standby time. After the standby time is reached, the
LB device will assign services to the link gradually within the slow-online time.
After the slow-online time is reached, the LB device will assign services to the
link normally.
