Web Overview
Overview
The device provides the Web-based network management function to facilitate the operations and
maintenance on network devices. Through this function, the administrator can visually manage and
maintain network devices through the Web-based configuration interfaces.

Logging In to the Web Interface
The SecPath firewalls are provided with the default Web login information. You can use the default
information to log in to the Web interface. The default Web login information is:

Username: h3c
•
Password: h3c
•
IP address of the firewall: 192.168.0.1.
You can follow the steps below to log in to the firewall through the Web interface.
1.
Connect the device and PC
Connect the Ethernet interface GigabitEthernet 0/0 of the device to the PC using a crossover Ethernet
cable.
2.
Configure an IP address for the PC and ensure that the PC and device can communicate with each
other properly.
Modify the IP address to one that within the network segment 192.168.0.0/24 (except for 192.168.0.1),
for example, 192.168.0.2.
3.
Open the browser, and input the login information.
On the PC, open the browser, type the IP address 192.168.0.1 in the address bar, press Enter and you
can enter the login page of the Web interface, as shown in
. Input the username and password
h3c, and the verification code, select the language (English and Chinese are supported at present), and
click Login.
