Traffic Policing Configuration Example
Network requirements
As shown in Figure 6 , configure Device to limit the rate of traffic received on GigabitEthernet 0/1 as
follows:
perform traffic policing for traffic of Host A through Host Z (on the IP segment 2.1.1.1 to 2.1.1.100), set the
per-IP rate limit to 50 kbps, and the remaining bandwidth is shared by all IP addresses.

Configuration procedure
# Configure a CAR list.
• Select Firewall > Traffic Policing > CAR List from the navigation tree, and click Add. Add a
CAR list as shown in
Figure 7 .

• Enter 1 as the CAR list index.
• Select Source IP from the IP Type drop-down list.
• Select IP Range from the IP Set drop-down list.
