# On Host B, specify Device B as the default gateway. Ping Host A from Host B. The ping operation
succeeds. Click the Refresh button under the tunnel list of Device A. You can see that another P2MP
tunnel entry is generated on Device A, as shown in

The above information indicates that on Device A there are two tunnel entries destined for the branch
network. Device A will prefer the tunnel entry with a smaller GRE key value, that is, packets will be
forwarded to hosts on the branch network through Device B.
# Cut off the tunnel link between Device A and Device B.

Select Device Management > Interface from the navigation tree of Device B. Click the
icon of interface Tunnel 0.

Click the Disable button to shut down interface Tunnel 0.
# On Host B, specify Device C as the default gateway. After the tunnel entry corresponding to Device B
ages out, ping Host A from Host B. The ping operation succeeds. View P2MP GRE tunnel entries on
Device A again, the information is shown as

The above information indicates that after the link between Device A and Device B is down, Device A has
