Configuration Management
Configuration management includes saving configuration, configuration backup, configuration
restoration, and restoring to factory defaults.
Save
The saving configuration function allows you to save the current configuration to the configuration file for
the next startup (including .cfg and .xml files).
NOTE:
When you save the configuration on a distributed device, the standby main board (SMB) does not
synchronize the .xml configuration file. To ensure synchronous configuration, manually copy the
configuration file to the SMB.
Select Device Management > Maintenance from the navigation tree to enter the saving
configuration page, as shown in
.

Click Apply to save the current configuration of the device.
If you select Encrypt the configuration file, the configuration file is saved and encrypted.
NOTE:
Besides the preceding method, the Web management interface allows you to click the
button on the
right of the title area to fast save the configuration.
Backup
Configuration file backup allows you to:
•
View the configuration file for next startup (including .cfg and .xml files).
•
Back up the configuration file for next startup (including .cfg and .xml files) to the PC of the current
user.
