Enable Update
Controls whether the switch is to send interim accounting updates to
the RADIUS server. The default is disabled. If you enable this feature,
use the next option to specify the intervals at which the switch is to
send the accounting updates.
Update Interval
Specifies the intervals at which the switch is to send interim
accounting updates to the RADIUS server. The range is 30 to 300
seconds. The default is 60 seconds.
5. After setting the parameters, click Apply.
Your changes are activated on the switch.
6. To save your changes, return to the General Tab and click Save
Changes.
Setting the Port
Role
Before you can configure authenticator or supplicant settings, you need
to set the role of the port on the switch. By default, the port role is set to
None.
For more information about the authenticator and supplicant port roles,
refer to 802.1x Port-based Access Network Control Overview on page
550.
To set a port with the role of authenticator or supplicant, perform the
following procedure:
1. On the Home Page, select Configuration.
The Configuration System Page is displayed with the General Tab
shown by default.
2. Select the Layer 1 option.
The Layer 1 Page is displayed with the Port Settings Tab shown by
default.
3. Select the 802.1x Port Access Tab.
The Configuration 802.1x Port Access Tab is displayed as shown in
Figure 301 on page 808.
4. To set the role for a port or ports, click on the port or ports you want
to configure with the same role. Then click Port Role.
