Uploading a File Using Xmodem
To upload a file using Xmodem (this procedure shows how to use the
Hilgraeve HyperTerminal program), perform the following procedure:
1. Type X at the prompt displayed in Step 4 in the procedure that begins
on page 187.
The following prompt is displayed:
Local file name:
2. Enter a name for the file to be uploaded from the switch.
Note
The file name must already exist on the switch.
Note
If you receive the following message:
The specified local file name/type can not be
uploaded.
Press any key to continue.
the file name extension is not correct or the file does not exist. See
File Naming Conventions on page 154 for more information about
file types.
The following prompt is displayed:
You are going to invoke the Xmodem upload utility.
Do you wish to continue? [Yes/No]
3. Type Y.
The following prompt is displayed:
Use HyperTerminal’s ‘Transfer/Receive File’ option
to select Protocol
