CFM Commands
ethernet cfm delay-measure destination
This command sets the destination MEP identifier or MAC address for periodically transmitted
delay-measure messages. Use the no form to clear a destination.
Syntax
ethernet cfm delay-measure destination dest-mep {destination-mpid | destination-mac}
md domain-name ma ma-name mpid source-mpid
no ethernet cfm delay-measure destination md domain-name ma ma-name mpid mpid
destination-mpid – The identifier of a remote MEP that is the target of the delay-measure
message. (Range: 1-8191)
destination-mac – MAC address of a remote MEP that is the target of the delay-measure
message. This must be the unicast address. A multicast MAC address cannot be used.
This address can be entered in either of the following formats: xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx or
xxxxxxxxxxxx
domain-name – Domain name. (Range: 1-43 alphanumeric characters)
ma-name – Maintenance association name. (Range: 1-43 alphanumeric characters,
maximum length is 44 minus the length of the domain name)
source-mpid – Maintenance end point identifier of a local MEP that is the source of the
delay measure message. (Range: 1-8191)

Command Usage
To modify settings for a destination, first disable the transmission of periodic delay-measure
messages with the
no ethernet cfm delay-measure enable
command.
Example
This example sets the periodic delay-measure message destination for a MEP.
