timeout login response
This command sets the interval that the system waits for a user to log into the CLI. Use the no form
to restore the default setting.
Syntax
timeout login response [seconds]
no timeout login response
seconds - Integer that specifies the timeout interval.
(Range: 10 - 300 seconds)
Default Setting
300 seconds

Command Usage
•
If a login attempt is not detected within the timeout interval, the connection is terminated for
the session.
•
This command applies to both the local console and Telnet connections.
•
The timeout for Telnet cannot be disabled.
•
Using the command without specifying a timeout restores the default setting.
Example
To set the timeout to two minutes, enter this command:
Console(config-line)#timeout login response 120
Console(config-line)#
disconnect
This command terminates an SSH, Telnet, or console connection.
Syntax
disconnect session-id
session-id – The session identifier for an SSH, Telnet or console connection. (Range: 0-8)

Command Usage
Specifying session identifier “0” will disconnect the console connection. Specifying any other
identifiers for an active session will disconnect an SSH or Telnet connection.
